This replica is the newest exhibit at the Hiller Aviation Museum. Launching from Mojave, CA, SpaceShipOne completed the first manned private spaceflight in 2004. That same year, it won the $10 million Ansari X Prize and was immediately retired from active service with the original vehicle going into the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.
