While upstanding business owners in Hyattsville were coming up with that promotion, stinking thieves in Capitol Heights and Landover Hills were robbing people and using their stolen credit cards.  Pack of losers.  Prince George’s County Police need your help locating these people pictured below.  They “allegedly” used a gun to rob a woman of her purse, then used the stolen credit card at a convenience store in DC.  From the Police, “On March 9, 2013, at approximately 4:55 am, the victim was walking near 65th Avenue and Cooper Lane when a silver minivan pulled up beside her. She tells detectives that three men jumped out of the van. One then pulled out a gun. The suspects demanded the woman’s purse. In fear for her life, she complied. The suspects then drove away. Minutes later, the three suspects, now accompanied by two female suspects, were captured on surveillance video using the victim’s credit card at a convenience store in the 3100 block of Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast, Washington.”  Call the Po-Po if you recognize these jokers.

Checkout baby-face below.  He is said to have robbed, at gunpoint, a convenience store on Central Avenue.  Look at him real good and pass the post along.  If we don’t get these people off the streets, none of us will be safe.  From the Police blogspot, “On March 28, 2013, at approximately 3:00 am, the suspect walked into the store in the 7400 block of Central Avenue. He immediately went to the cooler area and chose a drink. He then walked to the counter and pulled out cash to pay for the item. When the victim opened the cash register, the suspect pulled out a handgun. He jumped over the counter and removed the entire cash drawer. He then ran from the store with the drawer. If anyone has information on his whereabouts or identity, please call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s CID/Robbery Unit at 301-772-4095.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text “PGPD plus your message” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to http://www.princegeorgescountymd.gov/police and submit a tip online.”

While we have to keep our convenience stores safe and certainly need them, I beseech you to buy your produce and meats from fresher sources like Miller Farms in Clinton, Maryland.  Miller Farms has free-range chicken eggs, produce, and baked goods, AND it’s a farm.  Sounds like a cool place to visit on a easy going Saturday in PGCo.  10140 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD.
From the Hyattsville Patch, “…for Arbor Day (on April 26), Pepco is giving away 2,000 free trees to customers in Maryland and Washington, DC. Households may reserve up to two trees each at www.arborday.org/pepco, and the program will continue until all 2,000 trees have been reserved. Reserving a tree is easy—simply enter in your address at www.arborday.org/pepco, and you’ll be guided via an interactive map tool to select the types of trees that will work well for your property, and the locations for those trees.

 The 2-to-4-foot trees will then be delivered to your property at an appropriate planting time.  In exchange for the free trees, tree recipients are expected to care for the trees and plant them in the location chosen in the interactive map tool.
