The façade of the Santa Monica Public Parking Structure by Brooks + Scarpa was designed from a single mass-produced and repeatable panel composed of a series of cement board slats formed into screen resembling lumber pallets. Arranged in a slightly different position relative to each adjacent panel, each is approximately 10 x 16 feet. The result? A visually striking and complex patterned design.
