The Mercury News reports
San Joaquin County Sheriff's officials say a 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting two people and wounding a third at homes around Lodi before leading deputies on a chase.
Howard Smith was arrested on Friday. Sheriff's officials say he went to two homes in the unincorporated community of Acampo around 4:30 p.m. and opened fire, killing two people and injuring a third. The victims' names have not been released, but Smith apparently knew them.
You see, there's often no mention of whether he'd been a lawful gun owner or even a concealed-carry permit holder. The pro-gun crowd likes to pretend that all this violence is done by "criminals." The fact is, some of these incidents are being done by up-until-then law-abiding gun owners. It's called crossing over to the wild side.
