Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena stated today (10) at the press conference announcing the Cabinet decisions that the “Samurdhi” allowance may be delayed by two weeks.
The President has informed the Cabinet that the Treasury is facing a severe financial crisis. Accordingly, the Minister stated that it has been proposed to cut 05 percent of the amount allocated in the 2023 budget to all ministries.
