Samsung, Vivo lost the big event, this is the most powerful Android phone!

As the month of September falls, well-known benchmarking platform AnTuTu has released a list of the best-performing smartphones for the month of August. Topping the list is the recently launched Red Magic 9S Pro+, which features an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, also known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Leading Edition”. Meanwhile, the second spot is occupied by the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, which is an interesting addition as it is a flagship killer powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip rather than a full flagship smartphone. And the third-placed iQOO Neo 9S Pro+ handset priced at just $412 (roughly Rs. 34,600), the device scored around 2.1 million points, making it an attractive device for buyers looking for a good performance device. Let's take a look at the complete list with Untutu scores of the best-performing devices of August, 2024.

Of note, MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ powered devices would usually be seen in the top three, if not first, but they were significantly overtaken by Qualcomm Snapdragon powered phones in August. Both iQOO Neo 9S Pro and Redmi K70 Ultra Edition with Dimensity 9300+ are relatively affordable smartphones for the performance they offer.

MediaTek is reportedly planning to launch its next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset in mid-October. Vivo X200 series or Oppo Find X8 series flagship smartphones are expected to be the first phones powered by this chip. For improved performance gains, the Dimensity 9400 is said to offer a 30% improvement in single-core performance over the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor and will offer “PC-level” ray tracing capabilities.
