Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship the Samsung Galaxy S8 in an event earlier today. Galaxy S8 can easily be termed as the most crucial phone for Samsung ever especially after the Note 7 debacle. The New Galaxy S8 comes in two size variants, the 5.8-inch S8 and the 6.2-inch S8 Plus.
Keeping up with the latest trend Samsung has reduced the bezel further and the new phones feature a new design in which the “infinity display” wraps around the device, meaning that the large screen takes up almost all the front of the phone and making the phone bezel-less.
Samsung Galaxy S8 S8+ were announced a few days back in an event in New York. Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ screen and the Galaxy S8+ comes with a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ screen. Both the phones come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back.
The Galaxy S8 will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery while the S8+ will house a 3,500mAh battery. The Galaxy S8 also debuts Bixby, the company’s latest smart AI assistant. With a dedicated button on the side of the phone, users will be able to ask Bixby to perform any task.The home button that we’ve been used to seeing in all Samsung devices has been removed and it’s been replaced with a software home button that offers haptic feedback like iPhone, offering a virtual feeling of pressing a home button when pressed on a specific spot.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be available in Midnight Black, Coral Blue and Maple Gold colors in India. The smartphones will be available starting May 5. The Galaxy S8 is priced at Rs. Rs 57,900 while the Galaxy S8+ has been priced at Rs. Rs.64,900.
Reliance Jio is offering ‘Double Data Offer’ to Samsung galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ users with 28GB data per month at a monthly recharge of Rs 309. Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ will be Flipkart exclusive in India for online sales, and pre-orders of the phone will take place from 3 PM on the e-commerce site. The smartphones start shipping from May 5.
