Another smartphone of note for today is the Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562. The Galaxy Duos is a recent model  introduced only in July 2012, which is about 8 months old. I have no account of the original price of the device when it was first launched in Malaysia, however, it is sold at Lelong for as low as RM666 (US$214) and as high as RM1450 (US$466).

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 is interesting because it resembles its high-end cousin the Samsung Galaxy S3 in some ways. Under the hood, the phone feature a 1 GHz Cortex-A5 of Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 200 GPU.  It has 768MB of RAM and 4GB of storage which is expandable via microSD up to 32GB. The 4.0-inch display produce a resolution of 800×480 and is equipped with a 1,500mAh battery. At the rear it has a 5MP main camera and  a front facing VGA camera. It measures at 10.5mm thickness and weighs at 120g. Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but is upgradable to Android v4.1 Jelly Bean. The main highlight of this phone is that it supports dual-sim. For more information on specifications, please visit GSMarena website here.

In my research, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 is actually a Galaxy Ace Plus with a larger screen and has been given a Samsung S3 styling. This is device was produced to be a mid-range phone, but given the current price which is at the lowest at RM666, this I would highly recommend this phone for a first time buyer or those whoa re on a tight budget.
