On May 28, 2013 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd made yet another addition to their GALAXY line of smartphones. Actually, two additions with the launching of two different models of Samsung GALAXY Mega smartphone. Both the models of GALAXY Mega offer the portability of a smartphone with the power and extensive viewing experience of a tablet. You guessed it right. Both models are what you can term as a Phablet.

Overview: Both the models of Mega are light weight, slim as well as have a big screen to provide a tablet sized viewing experience within the portability of lightweight smartphone. On the big 5.8 or 6.3 inch screen, the split screen multi tasking is sure going to be more convenient to use. Both GALAXY Mega models run on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. They come equipped with Dual Core Processor. The primary difference between the two models is in their screen. One model has 5.8 inch qHD TFT Display screen, while the other model has 6.3 inches HD Super Clear LCD Screen. GALAXY Mega 5.8 inch is priced at 25,100 rupees. The second model with the larger screen is priced at 31,490 rupees.
Features: Mega models come packed with advanced features like Group Play, Samsung Link (both these features enable easy content sharing or streaming between compatible devices), S Translator (for quick and easy translation on apps like email, ChatON), ‘Air View’ (for quick previews of content without touching the screen, available only in Galaxy Mega 6.3 inches), ‘S Travel’ and ‘Story Album’ etc.
Camera: Both models of GALAXY Mega come equipped with 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. The available camera modes include ‘Sound & Shot’ (captures 9 seconds of sound along with the picture), ‘Sports’ and more.
Availability: Samsung GALAXY Mega 5.8 inches is going to be available in the market by 5th of June. GALAXY Mega 6.3 inches will be made available in the market in mid June 2013.

RCom is offering Samsung GALAXY Mega customers 2GB data per month free for 3 months and unlimited access to Big Movies Library, unlimited WhatsApp , Twitter, Facebook during this period.
