Sam Trammell Routes for Laura Dern to Win Oscar

True Blood’s Sam Trammell co-starred with Laura Dern in ‘The Fault in Our Stars,’ and now he says he is undoubtedly rooting for the actress to win the Best Supporting Actress Oscar at this weekend’s award ceremony.  Laura is nominated for her role as Reese Witherspoon’s mother in the film, “Wild.”

Sam, said, “I’m so happy for her. She’s without a doubt one of the most talented actresses of her generation. She’s always been one of my favorites.”

In 2014, Sam and Laura, played Michael and Frannie Lancaster, a married couple coping with their teenage daughter’s terminal thyroid cancer diagnosis in ‘The Fault in Our Stars.’

But Laura isn’t the only star Samis rooting for at this year’s Academy Awards.

“I love Patricia Arquette. I’ve worked with her and she is just such a sweet person, so I’m rooting for her,” Sam told ‘Closer.’ “[And] Julianne Moore — she is an amazing actress and person!”
