Amy Vanderoef, Sam Horowitz and Cynthia Smoot
I had so much fun this past Sunday when I attended a private fashion show showcasing Spring looks from Gregory's and Tootsie's curated by stylist, fashion vlogger and all-around cutie pahtootie, Sam Horowitz. Proceeds from the event benefited the JCC Summer Camp program. Sam's Mother bragged that he had put the show together all on his own - found sponsors, got the chairs and staging donated, selected models, got the stores involved, organized the guest list, etc. My son can't even remember if he has homework due the next day, so as the Mother of a 16-year old, I want to give a long, slow clap to Sam for his drive and organizational skills. Sam had assigned his 8-year old brother, Max, to be the attendant to his VIP guests (which were myself and TV host Amy Vanderoef) and he couldn't have been more attentive or adorable in his white suit running back and forth to the kitchen to get us a water or a program. I wanted to put him in my hand bag and take him home with me. I profiled Sam in a Dallas Dweller article 2 years ago and am keeping an eye on this budding fashion talent. I have no doubt that one day I will be watching him on Fashion Police or talking style on the red carpet for some major cable channel. 16-year old Horowitz produces a webisode series on YouTube called "Sam Says". It's a weekly style and fashion web series where he delivers the latest fashion news and trends from all over the world and shows us first hand how to make fashion fun, fabulous and unforgettable.
