Story: Saltburn starts when Oliver Quick (Keoghan) starts at Oxford University. He doesn’t fit in with the other financially supported students and wants to focus on his studies. However, a chance encounter with the popular Felix (Elordi) offers Oliver a new social platform. The two make an unlikely friendship and Felix doesn’t care about the class divide between them.
Felix ends up inviting Oliver back to his family mansion over the holidays, where he gets to meet his eccentric family. However, his time with the family and friends sees Oliver learn how to manipulate the group. All while trying to figure out what the meaning of his invitation is truly for.
Verdict on Saltburn
Saltburn is a drama following an Oxford student who finds himself mixing with the elite of society. He gets to step into their world and soon finds it difficult to navigate as his life starts to spiral out of control. Not everything is what it seems and the privileged life takes over.
This is a movie where not much seems to happen other than snobby people looking down on people outside of their social circle. There are a lot of parties which show the worst in people and a political power play by two people from different backgrounds. Overall, nothing really happens and it fails to give us an engaging story with any real interest.
Where to Watch
JustWatchFinal Thoughts –Saltburn is just a snobby series of events.
