By Sweetpeasandsaffron

This simple saffron rice recipe is infused with saffron flavor and is the perfect elegant side dish that pairs well with Middle Eastern and Spanish flavors. Cook it on the stove top or in a rice cooker.

For a blog called Sweet Peas & Saffron, I sure don’t cook with saffron all that often! The truth is I’m quite stingy with my saffron and only want to use it when I’m sure it’s worth it…and this saffron rice recipe was most definitely worth it!

Now saffron can be very pricey (make sure you get the good stuff! This is the saffron

I use), but very often, you only need a pinch. This recipe uses just a pinch, or probably about 1/8 of a teaspoon…that’s all you need to infuse your rice with delicious saffron flavor.

Not only is this saffron rice pretty to look at, but it tastes delicious too! And it pairs well with a number of different flavors including Spanish and Middle Eastern.

And the best part about this saffron rice recipe is that it doesn’t require a ton of chopping or sauteeing. You can have this on your table easily either by cooking on the stove top or in a rice cooker!
