Safely display flowers and candles as a centrepiece

When you are hosting a party or any event, it's a good idea to take the time to decorate your tables. Flowers and candles are popular as centrepieces because they help create just the right atmosphere. If you are worried about the fire risk of displaying flowers and candles together, here are some ways of safely displaying candles and flowers.

Keeping a safe distance

It's important to always keep a safe distance between your flowers and your candles. You don't want an open flame too close to your flowers. Remember, the candle will burn down so you need to take this into account as well.

Using glass vases

For added protection, you can place your candles inside clear glass vases. This serves many purposes. Firstly, your vase protects your flowers from the open flame. You are also protecting your candles from breezes and preventing your guests from burning themselves. By keeping your candles inside a vase, you don't have to worry about the wax dripping all over the table.

LED candles

If you still don't love the idea of real candles, you can always use LED candles instead. To hide the fact that these are not real candles, you should place them in a vase. These candles use batteries but the LED lights do not use all that much battery power so you don't have to worry about the batteries running out. If you want to play it safe, you can leave the candles off until it gets a little darker and then have one or more of your handy helpers turn them on.

So, as you can see, there are many ways to display flowers and candles together without risking a fire or any other types of damage from melted wax.
