Actress Tisha Campbell has filed for divorce from husband, actor Duane Martin after more than 20 years of marriage.
Tisha Campbell announced in a statement via her rep on Thursday that she and Duane are ending their marriage.
“After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce,” the actress said in the statement.
“It’s an emotional time and I graciously ask for privacy for me, our children and the rest of our family,” she shared.
Tisha and Duane’s marriage was plagued with money problems, that left the couple having to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2016. The couple admitted they were drowning in debt and owed more than $15.1 million to creditors. They said their monthly income then was $7,655, but their monthly expenses come out to $16,953.
Things seemed to have been turning around for them financially, with most of their debt being discharged in bankruptcy court, Duane had just signed on to Gabrielle Union’s Bad Boys spin-off, and it looks like a Martin reboot may be happening for Tisha.
The couple who wed in 1996, have two sons, Ezekiel, 8, and Xen, 16.
