Anjali has been very supportive to Sachin always in his good and bad time. Anjali is daughter of very famous businessman, Ashok Mehta. She dated Sachin for around 5 years before tying the knot. There is an age gap between these two, but they never allowed this gap to create problems in their relationship.

Anjali shared several secrets about their relationship at the launch of Sachin’s biography named “Playing it My Way”, which may inspire many lovers. She revealed about writing letters to Sachin in the starting days to communicate to save money of international calling. Other than this, she also used to walk in darkness for around 46 acres to call Sachin, who were playing in New Zealand. Revealing about their meetings, she revealed that once she costumed like journalist to enter his house and meet him.
Once in an interview she said, “I’ve not known any other person in my life except Sachin. I understand him so well. So whether I am his girlfriend or his wife, it’s the same thing, just an extension of that bond.” It shows the strength of their relationship. She also said, “I could not be married to Sachin and also have a full-time career. It wasn’t possible because he depends on me for almost everything. It was my decision. With Sachin not around and me with two kids at home, it wouldn’t have been possible. I took a decision and I have never, ever regretted it.” Once she said, “I don’t eat. I don’t answer phones. I don’t drink. I don’t even move. I don’t reply to any sms until he’s out.” This is not all, because Sachin also gives equal importance to her. He said once, “Anjali actually taught me to thank for what the God has given me and for what the God has not given me.” It shows what Anjali means to Sachin and it shows their love and understanding as well.
