There is sad news for fans of one of Hollywood’s funniest couples. Actors Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, who married in 2010, announced their split on Instagram. In a shocking message, the duo shared that they filed for divorce in 2023.

The actors’ joint statement features themselves in matching tennis clothes. They state,

After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.

The statement continues,

We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.

The pair met in 2001 in Australia. They got engaged in 2004 and tied the knot six years later, in 2010. Cohen shared his first impression of Fisher with The New York Times in an interview. The 52-year-old actor thought that she was hilarious. He said,

We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people at the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.
