Sabrina by Nick Drnaso

WHERE IS SABRINA?

The answer is hidden on a videotape, a tape which is en route to several news outlets, and about to go viral.

A landmark graphic novel, already hailed as one of the most exciting and moving stories of recent years, Sabrina is a tale of modern mystery, anxiety, fringe paranoia and mainstream misinformation - a book that tells the story of those left behind in the wake of tragedy, has important things to say about how we live now, and possesses the rare power to leave readers pulverised.

I don't often read graphic novels but this one looked like a gorgeous big monster I couldn't resist it. I'm so glad I borrowed this from the library. If this is an example of the kind of graphic novels that are available then I've clearly been missing out. Sabrina is a gorgeous graphic novel. The illustrations are simple yet so perfect there are often pages with no text at all because nothing else is needed. I loved the story as well missing person come conspiracy theory come paranoia come the pitfalls of social media in modern life. This was a gorgeous treat.
