ryank2 450x600 225x300 Ryan Kwanten Shares Parental Feelings From Not Suitable for ChildrenTrue Blood’s Ryan Kwanten takes some time out to talk a bit about True Blood, but mostly about his new Aussie film, “Not Suitable For Children” in the the questions below.

1. AS YOU READ THIS RYAN KWANTEN IS
… shooting his last scenes on season five of True Blood. And he loves playing the sex-mad Jason Stackhouse: “They keep getting me outside of my little comfort zone. I feel more than challenged.” Then Kwanten flies home to film Ivan Sen’s Mystery Road with Hugo Weaving. “It’s an original, interesting story.”

2. IN EVERY TRUE BLOOD SEASON BREAK
… Kwanten has shot an Aussie movie. “That’s the caviar on the top. At the end of the day, I’m attracted to good stories, and it just so happens that the ones I connected to were Australian.” Last break, he shot Not Suitable for Children. He plays a party boy diagnosed with cancer who has three weeks to find a baby mama.

3. IF REAL-LIFE RYAN HAD THREE WEEKS
… to find a baby mama, Not Suitable for Children director Peter Templeman says he’d have no trouble. “I don’t know about that!” Kwanten says, laughing. The movie’s concept isn’t so far-fetched, he says. “As silly and as sarcastic as it seems, it always comes from a point of truth and that’s comedy I like to play.”

4. ARE CHILDREN SUITABLE FOR RYAN?
“This film did make me think of that. There’s part of me that desperately wants kids. I look at the sacrifices and the joy that I hope we – the three boys my parents raised – gave mom and dad … It definitely provoked and stirred up those parental feelings.” Ladies, get in line.
