If you love white flowers, just like today’s bride, then her marriage will mesmerize you! Eleni and Dean decided to have the wedding of their dreams in Cyprus and in particular in Paphos, at a beautiful stone-built venue. They chose to highlight the natural beauty of this wonderful location, so the talented team of Flower Creations by Avgeris decorated their reception area with wooden elements, greenery, white flowers, candles and crystal touches. Details made of pure acrylic refined the decoration, adding a modern touch to the place. Scroll on to see every detail of this lovely summer wedding and feel absolutely transported to this idyllic location!

The bride shared with us: “We met in Ibiza 10 years ago, both of us were on holiday (separately) with our friends. We were passing in the street and Dean’s group of friends decided to start chatting to my group of friends – it was 3AM! Dean got in contact with me via Facebook once we returned to the UK and we stayed in contact for years and eventually went on our first date four years later…. And the rest is history!”

“Dean took me to Mauritius for my 30th birthday (somewhere I had always wanted to go) and booked a private dinner on the beach for the evening of my birthday. After the meal, a waiter brought out a birthday cake, as I began to tuck in, out of nowhere Dean got down on one knee and proposed! I was in total shock – needless to say, it was the best birthday I’ve ever had.”

“I’m half Cypriot and used to live in Paphos when I was younger, so Paphos has always had a special place in my heart. Dean had always wanted to get married abroad (we both love the sun!) so when we started making wedding plans, Paphos was the obvious choice for both of us and it didn’t disappoint.”

“We wanted a rustic wedding with a real Cypriot feel to it, we wanted something naturally beautiful and untouched. We had looked at hotels and although they were all beautiful wedding venues, they weren’t what we were looking for as we didn’t find them private enough. When we found Liopetro Venue in Kouklia, we fell in love instantly. Not only did it look amazing and have beautiful views, it was completely private and had the most stunning church across the road – it really was the perfect place for Dean and I to get married.”

“We kept it to a simple and rustic theme. The venue is made entirely out of stone and wood, so I didn’t want to spoil the natural beauty and kept everything minimal. I love white flowers and the venue has lots of greenery so I wanted to keep everything green and white. The bridesmaids wore powder blue as I thought it was a lovely color for a summer wedding and it went beautifully with the green and white flowers. The flower girls wore ivory to match my dress, I wanted to keep everything simple and natural.”

“I wanted white flowers only with lots of greenery – I love the color of eucalyptus leaves and olive leaves had been the theme of our wedding invitations, so I wanted both of these included in my bouquet. I love flowers and wanted a huge bouquet, the florist did an amazing job!”

“We kept it simple and elegant – I had lots of glass candlesticks and white candles with lots and lots of greenery. The table numbers and wedding signs were made out of clear acrylic, I thought they would be a nice contrast against the natural materials of the venue. Calligraphy Payal worked with me on the design of the acrylic signs, place cards and table numbers – she is amazing!”

“The best moment of your wedding was our first dance, I loved it! Our wedding band sung Andy Williams ‘Can’t take My Eyes Off Of You’ but they sung a more upbeat version (more like the Lauren Hill version) and it was perfect! Everyone sang along! Obviously seeing Dean standing at the alter as I was walking down the aisle was pretty special too.”

“My wedding dress was by Elbeth Gillis, it came all the way from Cape Town. I loved it from the first moment I tried it on. I wanted something quite simple but still wanted to feel quite bridal! It had quite a long train too which is something I had always wanted. It makes me so sad to think that I’ll never get to wear it again!”

Bride’s Advice: “Don’t stress over the small things because on the day, you really won’t care! You’ll love your day regardless of what happens! We even had a bit of rain on our wedding day but it didn’t affect anything, we still had the best day ever!”
