A Russian tourist was found dead inside a hotel room in Walliwala, Weligama yesterday.
The deceased had been identified as a Russian national named ‘Georgii Nadareishvili’ (32). He had arrived in Sri Lanka about one and half months ago and had stayed at a Weligama tourist hotel.
The Russian Embassy in Sri Lanka had informed the death of the tourist to his family members, and the postmortem inquiry will be held after a family member or an authorized person claims the body.
The Police said the cause of the death could be revealed through the postmortem inquiry.
