Russian energy company Lukoil said Thursday, the Chairman of Ravil Maganov had died after a “serious illness”, after a Russian media report said he died after falling from the hospital window.
Lukoil was one of several large Russian companies that called for battles in Ukraine after Moscow sent his troops to pro-West countries in February.
In a statement at the time, the Lukoil Council called for “immediately” ended at the battle, expressing his sympathy to those affected by “tragedy”.
“We are very sorry to announce that Ravil Maganov … died of a serious illness,” Lukoil said on Thursday without giving further details about his death.
Some Russian media previously reported that Maganov died after falling from the central clinical hospital window in Moscow.
This is often called the Kremlin Hospital because it calculates the Russian political elite and business among its patients.
“This morning Maganov fell from the window of the central clinical hospital. He died of injuries,” Interfax news agency reported quoting sources that were “informed”.
According to the RBC Business Daily police source, Maganov fell from the sixth floor window of the hospital.
Spokesman for President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday that Maganov’s death was not a problem for Kremlin.
Maganov was born in 1954. He has been working in Lukoil since 1993 and also the President’s President.
He was one of Lukoil’s first leader and, according to the company, appeared with the current name.
Maganov was appointed as chairman in 2020.
In his statement on Thursday, Lukoil said that Maganov “contributed” to the company and the Russian oil and gas sector.
This credits Maganov’s “managerial talent” by making Lukoil, one of the world’s leading energy companies.
In April, Lukoil announced the resignation of Alekperov’s vagit billionaire executive chief after he was hit by British sanctions on Ukraine attacks.
