It is in our genes to think that we are bad ass and the toughest guy in the room. But I tell you, the Russians scare me. A tattoo is like a rank and tells a story which is especially true in gangs and criminal organisations. In 2004 a hardcover book was published that showed us the underworld of Russian criminals and their tattoos. It was such a hit that they created two more volumes. All thanks to Danzig Baldaev’s work of 30 years studying the criminal population in the notorious Kresty Prison in St. Petersburg.
