I'm enjoying running, I am. It's not the early mornings, or the feeling that my chest in going to implode, and it's certainly not having random strangers watch me wobble around town for half an hour in the mornings.
It's that wonderful feeling you get afterwards, the healthy glow. The sense of achievement when the app tells you that you've cut down your projected 5k time by 6minutes.
Having said all of that. I have lost NO WEIGHT. I've been told that it's because I'm building muscle or something. Or perhaps my body is too busy building stamina to think 'hey, we don't need all this anymore!'
It is so so disappointing, to have been doing all this exercise on top of what I usually do, which is nothing btw, and not to see any results on the scales. What am I eating?! You'd think I was stuffing my face with McDonalds every day wouldn't you? I'm not.
To try and combat this, I'm moving it up a notch, and I'm going to by doing my run in the gym three nights a week. This is going to be in addition to my weekly outdoor run with my dear running-buddy, without whom, I would have gotten pissed off and gone to Krispy Kreme to stuff my sorrows away a long time ago. (Thank you, M!)
I also need a decent sprinkling of motivation...
And one of these shirts...
