Rumble is an alternative online video platform to YouTube. I joined almost 2 years ago after you could no longer watch some scientific videos over on YouTube. The Rumble video app is fun and easy to use. Once on it, I liked how easy it was to use and I produced a few videos about alternative social media on Rumble, the online video network on my Rumble Channel.
I began to make a few cents on Rumble and thought, I need to explore this one more for my fellow bloggers and businesses.

Rumble Known As “The YouTube Alternative”
People have been upset by the censorship of YouTube and are looking for other places to go to post and watch videos. Not only that, but the reach of YouTube videos has decreased over the past year with algorithm changes.
Recently the CEO of Rumble was on Fox Business News. “By the end of Q1 2021, we were at 31.9 million average monthly users,” Pavlovski told FOX Business. “April is looking fairly consistent.”
That is up from Q1 2020 when the platform had an average monthly unique user rate of 1.2 million.

That’s a huge increase in monthly users on the Rumble video network and it continues to grow in 2022!

Rumble Adds Full Screen Vertical and Dark Mode
Rumble released a new version of their iOS app and make vertical videos full screen along with a dark mode for nighttime viewing of their videos. (April 2022)
With the new vertical format, users can swipe left or right to like or dislike a video. Rumble will be adding more features to Android users and connected TV users coming soon. Stay tuned!

What is Rumble – The Online Video Platform
Rumble is an online video platform. The online platform is a social media network like YouTube with Rumbles being voted on and commented on. Creators can make money from Rumble videos, as Rumble shares up to 60% of its ad revenues with its users.
Rumble has been around since October 2013. But 2020 is when the network began to expand with all the censorship around the United States election and the pandemic.
Updated Terms of Service for Rumble Video
Fast forward to January 2022, and notice that Rumble updated their terms of service.
They claimed after strong demand from their community for more transparency around policies on what you can and cannot do on Rumble and met this demand by modernizing, changing, and updating their Terms & Conditions.
They added 9 new additional rules you can see there from the previous link in terms and conditions of Rumble.
Also note: You also agree that you will not harvest or collect information about users of the Forum or use such information to transmit or facilitate the transmission of unsolicited bulk electronic e-mail or communications.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you further agree that you will not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from a child 18 years old or younger.
How to Use Rumble – The Online Video Platform
Rumble is very easy to use if you have used YouTube in the past. If not, it still is pretty easy. I have made a video as an overview. This video was done on the desktop version.
The mobile version is somewhat different and the ability to make money comes from the mobile app too.
Your Rumble Channel ID
You can have your own company/blog channel ID. But you first have to have 10 subscribers to do so. It took me a few minutes one day to figure that one out.

Be Sure To Add Descriptions To Your Videos
This is another mistake made that you can easily learn from. You can add links to your blog post and any other places you want people to go to after watching your Rumble video. The length of videos does not seem to matter on Rumble, it is more about the videos themselves.
I see a lot of funny animal videos that make money and they are not longer than other videos. Some Rumble videos are less than a minute! Maybe that is why YouTube has YouTube shorts now!

Combining Rumble with YouTube and Other Video Channels
You may also share your videos on other video platforms if you choose. I did this for the Rumble video but not for my Parler videos. You have all kinds of licensing options to choose from once you upload your Rumble video.
If you choose to add YouTube be sure to post that video to YouTube first. Then when you upload it to Rumble it will ask for the YouTube video link.
Scheduling is another feature that Rumble offers so you don’t have to post it right NOW. (YouTube also allows you to schedule videos.)
Your Rumble Video License Choices
The Exclusive Video Management license You will receive all Net Earnings, less an Agency Fee equal to 40%, collected about your Content.
Another option, The Video Management license excluding YouTube is the same as the above license but without YouTube. You will receive all Net Earnings, less an Agency Fee equal to 40%, collected in relation to your Content.
Rumble shall not publish your Content to YouTube.com and publication of your Content shall be limited to all media and channels except YouTube.com which is specifically excluded.
Another option is the Rumble Player license. Rumble will publish your Content through the Rumble Player and will act as your agent only in respect of publication via this channel. All other media and channels are specifically excluded from Rumble’s Agency.
You will receive all Net Earnings collected in relation to the publication of your Content on the Rumble Player less an Agency Fee equal to 40%. If you select this option, and notwithstanding any provision in this Agreement to the contrary, you shall be entitled to remove Content from the Rumble Player at any time.
The last option is the Not For Sale license. Rumble shall only publish your Content on Rumble’s Video Player or Rumble-owned websites.
Rumble shall not monetize your Content. No Net Earnings will be payable to you and no Agency Fees shall be charged. I
If you select this last option, and notwithstanding any provision in this Agreement to the contrary, you shall be entitled to remove Content from the Rumble Player at any time.

Monetized Rumble Videos – How to Make Money with Rumble!
Yes, be patient with this one! See below for my Rumble video examples. It’s been a while days and monetization took several weeks. (They have since been monetized but not all are making money.)
With more people jumping from YouTube to Rumble I expect it may take longer. However, I did make more money in the beginning as the competition has become more fierce today.

Swiping Rumbles
Now with the Rumble video app on mobile, you can make money with the swipe key. Rumble users can make .25 cents per day (5 cents per video) for tagging them with the swipe. (Rumble will be updating their monetization – see more below.)

When you refer other people to rumble with your referral link you can earn dollars too. Just invite your friends, clients, and family to join the Rumble network. There are so many different videos that there is something for everyone.

Lottery on Rumble – The Online Video Platform
You can win Battle Tickets through the Rumble video app. I awoke one morning to receive an email that I had won $5.00 via a Battle Ticket on Rumble. (twice now!)
Another time I won $10.00 from the lottery. Entries into the lottery are by swiping videos.
On the Rumble video app, you must watch a video for at least 9 seconds before swiping. Many of the funny animal videos are less than one minute and some are just under 30 seconds.
Of course, there are also lengthy videos on various topics throughout the Rumble network. Whether you use Rumble for business, blogging, or pleasure there really is something for everyone here.
What is the Rumble Camera?
You can now download the Rumble camera from the Google Play Store or Apple Apps. This camera app allows you to make money with videos that you film with your phone’s camera.
Other social media platforms don’t pay what you deserve, you lack visibility, and transparency, and there are no useful tools that allow you to control distribution. Rumble’s camera app does all this for you. The Rumble video app keeps on getting better and better!

Recently Rumble has introduced its live tipping feature, Rumble Rants, on all live streams.
“Now is the time to change the creator economy by tipping to your favorite creators on Rumble, instead of the competition,” Rumble said when announcing the feature. “Do it only for 1 reason; creators deserve more. Rumble will take a smaller fee than YouTube.”

You may have heard about Rumble’s paid subscriptions now. Creators on Rumble can use an integrated Locals button to set up paid communities.
