The design of Royal Enfield's first electric motorcycle production ready model has been leaked. A patent image has given an idea of what the design of the bike will look like. Royal Enfield may officially launch its first battery operated motorcycle by the end of next year or the first half of 2026.
What Royal Enfield electric bike looks like
As evident from the patent image, Royal Enfield has retained the modern retro design in the EV model like their other bikes. While the overall styling looks new, some design elements have been taken from classic bikes. A single seat has been spotted on the e-bike. But having saree guard means there will be an option to add pillion seat.
The front profile of the Royal Enfield electric bike has quite a surprise. Front girder forks are used for suspension. Which was seen in vintage motorcycles made 100 years ago. And the classic inspiration is evident in the tail section, especially the mudguards, seats, and indicators. Round headlights and turn indicators are seen in front.
The bike's battery casing and motor housing are believed to be integrated into the chassis. Harley Davidson has taken a similar approach with their Livewire brand of e-bikes. Both wheels have disc brakes. The swingarm is assumed to be made of aluminum. The bike is likely to be showcased later this year before being launched in the market.
