Colton Haynes is poised to reprise his role as Roy Harper on season 7 of Arrow, something we’ve known for a while now. But the circumstances surrounding his return have been kept a secret ever since the announcement was made back in April.
Even the cast remains mum, not giving away any spoilers during their recent trip to San Diego Comic-Con back in July. His co-stars Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen), Juliana Harkavy (Dinah Drake) and Rick Gonzalez (Rene Ramirez) praised Haynes and teased a new, exciting role for his character.
“It’s fantastic, man! I love Colton! So having him back is terrific, and — you know — his stuff this season? I could give you an hour to guess, to pontificate as to what he’s going to be doing, and none of you would get it. It’s amazing,” teased Amell.
“Just as far as the overall feel on set, it’s been great, because everyone loves Colton,” Harkavy added. “I think everybody really missed him, so it feels more like a family with him and it feels more complete with him.”
“I’m excited to see the fans to see Colton back! Colton’s back!” Gonzalez chimed in.
It still leaves Roy Harper’s role in the upcoming season a mystery. Will he take up mantle Oliver Queen was forced to vacate while in prison? Or did something happen to Thea Queen (Willa Holland) while the pair was on their quest to find the remaining Lazarus Pits with Nyssa Al Ghul (Katrina Law) that forced him to return to Star City? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see come season 7, which premieres on Monday, October 15 on The CW.
