Roxy Girls have announced details of new EP ‘A Wealth of Information’ (out on 5 June via Moshi Moshi Records) and shared the lead single, ‘Dirtier’.
Clocking in under two minutes, there is a sense of the calm before the storm as jaunty guitar hooks gradually join the sole drums in its first 30 seconds before spiky punk riffs and seething frustration take over as the band ask ‘Where did you come from? Where did you go?’ The song evolves into the kind of spiky yet melodic punk that serves The Futureheads so well with the band opening up about their frustrations with the actions of the subject: ‘When the finger is pointing, you act like you are see-through’; ‘The day you choose to listen, you finally understand your words are dirtier than the most disgusting thing’.
