Born and raised in Oxford, singer-songwriter Rosie Shaw has shared new song ‘Temporary Love’ ahead of the release of a new EP later this year. Counting fellow Oxfordonians Radiohead as one of her main influences alongside the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, the alt-folk-tinged single’s emotive atmospherics reminded us of both Courney Marie Andrews and Mazzy Star. There’s a nostalgic bent as Rosie opens her heart and thoughts about a relationship that is gradually dissolving: ‘It’s a temporary kind of love dragging us both along. Hold up the red light, I don’t want to keep on moving with you. I know that we’re comfortable but don’t you want more? I know I do’.
