Rosewood London is releasing their new Art Afternoon Tea, that is inspired by well-known surrealist artist, Salvador Dali. The luxurious 5-star hotel does its best to offer a comprehensive experience to its customers by enjoying artistic tea with colorful sweets. To complete this experience, Rosewood is implementing augmented reality and NFT technology to create their initial ‘NFTea’ series.
The best contemporary afternoon tea in the UK recently became better. Rosewood London combines Mark Perkins’s wonderful sweets, Salvador Dali’s artwork, and SmartMedia Labs’ tech expertise to create the best food-based NFT. Starting at £72 per person, customers will enjoy three exclusive sweets which are so appealing that you think twice before dipping your spoon in them.
The Queen of Hearts is part of Dali’s ‘Playing Card” series. This dessert has ruby peach jelly, almond sponge and smooth strawberry mousse on the heart of the red otter. There are chocolate decorations and an edible queen of hearts cards game as well.
Next, the Metamorphosis of Narcissus is at the core of the NFTea set. It shows a narcissus flower that blooms of a Dali’s egg. The mouse-based pastry has a mixture of 5 important ingredients that symbolize new beginnings.
Finally, The Persistence of Memory depicts a butterfly, one of Dali’s most symbolic images. It is a symbol of freedom, metamorphosis and transformation. This Butterfly Windmill Cake is offered with a QR code, that brings customers to an immersive augmented reality experience. Customers use their phones to capture a butterfly, that then unlocks their NFTs. This is a great end to the NFTea experience, the initial of its kind.
Media previews were held the day before, and this experience will be officially opened to the public on May 11, 2022. Working hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 12:00 to 18:00. Remember, there are just 2,500 butterflies to capture, so, book a table right now.
