Roseanne might be back on TV soon. NBC is in talks with Roseanne to star in a sitcom, under a 10/90 deal that has become popular recently among cable networks. Tyler Perry's sitcoms on TBS started the trend, where the network orders 10 episodes, and if that goes well, they order 90 more (basically securing syndication). This is the first time that a broadcast network like NBC has considered this platform. This is especially odd, considering NBC passed on Roseanne's last pilot, Downwardly Mobile, which would have even reunited her with her old co-star John Goodman. Nevertheless, a script is currently being written, so this is in very early stages. Last year, NBC made a big commitment to Michael J Fox, ordering all 22 episodes of the first season of his upcoming sitcom immediately, rather than doing the traditional 13/9 formula that broadcast networks use for new fall shows.
