Plot: Follows two sisters, Inger and Ellen, and how their relationship is challenged on an anticipated coach trip to Paris.

Story: Rose starts when Ellen (Christensen) agrees to take her mentally ill sister Inger (Gråbøl) on a coach trip to Paris. They are joined by Ellen’s husband Vagn (Berthelsen) who has a much more relaxed nature to the troubles Inger experiences. On their journey, they meet a young boy Christian (Coker) who connects with Inger and her ability to educate someone effortlessly.
However, his father Andreas (Malling) doesn’t want him spending time with Inger. As the journey continues, Inger starts to come out of her shell and Andreas starts to understand her life struggles.
Verdict on Rose
Rose is a comedy drama following two sisters who go on a journey together. One suffers from mental illness and the other must do her best to make the journey comfortable and enjoyable for them both. However, along the way, they must deal with the past which still haunts them.
This movie is a moving drama following the daily struggles people have in life. We get the mentally ill side and the people who deal with everyday problems. There is a big heart to the story and the connections made on the journey. It shows people could be living with problems, that never got treated and a small connection can open the world. Everybody gives a wonderful performance, and we get an emotional feeling from what unfolds.
