"We met through an online dating app 10 years ago and have been together ever since. We live in Scotland but I am from Cyprus so we visit there often and knew we wanted to get married there one day. We got engaged in 2021, during covid. We were visiting my family in Cyprus and Matthew popped the question at the beach, under the full moon. It was amazing to be able to tell our families in person in the middle of covid. " the bride shared with us.

"Planning this wedding from the UK, we didn't have the convenience of looking for suppliers on the ground. The greek wedding site Love4Weddings was invaluable in helping us find our suppliers such as florals (Mardis Florart) and cake (Love Island Cakes)."

"I purchased my dress from Eleganza Sposa in Glasgow. It was a custom Martina Liana dress. The designer was amazing at adjusting the design to make my dream dress."

"We're very laid back people so we were after a very natural laid back vibe with our florals and decorations. We wanted it to be romantic and we wanted our flowers to represent both our cultures: Scottish and Greek - think the Mediterranean meets Scottish countryside! My yiayia is visually impaired so we communicated with our florist that we wanted our decorations to be inclusive and not only appeal visually but also make an impact through scent and texture. Our florist did an incredible job, choosing peonies and local wildflowers for the bouquets and adding seasonal fruit to the table floral arrangements. The blended wildflower and citrus scent matched the custom Jo Malone perfume the bride wore for the wedding day so it was a feast for all the senses!"

"Walking back up the aisle as husband and wife while all of our closest friends and family cheered us on was probably one of the top moments for me "

The bride's advice to other brides-to-be: "Find suppliers you can trust and who can go above and beyond. It's so important that you're surrounded by suppliers who can just do their thing and do it amazingly, leaving you to enjoy your wedding day to the fullest with your loved ones. "
