The bride shared with us: «We met at a restaurant where we used to work together while studying our Masters degree in Manchester. We were friends for a while before we actually got together. It was a big step admitting we liked each other more than friends but it was worth it! Joe proposed on trip to Rome in front of the Trevi fountain. He took me to a side away from the crowd and pretended he was looking for change to throw in the fountain in his pocket. He said: “I don’t have any coins for the fountain but I have this (showing me the ring)- I hope you won’t throw it in the fountain”.»

«We wanted a ceremony and a reception by the sea. Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon Resort offers a great location and choices for the ceremony and the reception. We could choose from their swimming pool, a barge in he sea and an open restaurant which we could use in case it was windy (which was our case). But what we really fell in love with was the little amphitheater they have built by the sea. That was where the ceremony took place and that was what finalised our decision.»

«We didn’t have a clear concept in mind, but we tried to keep everything very plain and minimal as possible. White was the main color of the flowers and the decorations. The bouquet was white hydrangea surrounded by gypsofila (baby’s-breath) flowers.»

«The main flower was gypsofila and we had big jars on the tables that were filled with fairy lights and the little flowers. The wedding decoration was from Ria Venieri in Loutraki. She is great for wedding decorations, baptisms, parties. She is absolutely lovely!»

«My wedding dress was from Portret Exclusive Boutique in Chaladri Greece. They have a beautiful collection of ‘occasion’ dresses, and beautiful dresses for weddings in really great prices. I wanted something simple and comfortable. I went there not having an idea of what I wanted and as soon as the woman there saw me she said she has the dress for me. I would honestly not have picked myself from the row of dresses there but she was right. It was the one!»

«I really enjoyed the whole day but especially our reception and the party that lasted until 5am with everyone dancing constantly! Ours being a Greek/English wedding, we went for their traditional Barbecue buffet option for the meal. All our guests were telling us the next day how much they loved the food. I was really happy to see how much they all enjoyed the meal.»

«I would advice to not worry about the small details and not to expect things will go 100% according to plan- that’s hard to do, I know. But certain people will be late, someone might say the wrong thing, something will go not exactly as planned. But at the end of the day what matters is that you and your husband to be are there to celebrate the beginning of your new life together, surrounded by the people you love.»
