A wedding that speaks straight to the heart in the most authentic way takes us to the lush Cypriot countryside. Terri and Liam’s story begins with a tender proposal on Millennium Bridge in Newcastle and unfolds beautifully at the stone built Vasilias Nikoklis Inn in Paphos, a place where natural beauty meets sustainability and true Cypriot hospitality. The ceremony was adorned with floral arrangements of roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and peonies in white, blush and pale peach tones, while the bride’s rose bouquet held a deeply emotional keepsake, a locket with a photo of her mother. At the reception, the same rustic style continued with wooden tables dressed with florals and chairs, creating a celebration that felt perfectly connected to the landscape. As the bride shared with us, «The advice I would give to a bride who is currently planning her wedding is to do what you truly want to do as a couple. Do not feel pressured to do things just to please others or because they are “on trend”. It is a day you will remember for the rest of your life, so it is important that it feels true and authentic to you as a couple». Enjoy all the lovely details!

«We met whilst we were both attending university in Liverpool. I am from Newcastle and Liam is from Derry in Northern Ireland. Liam proposed me at the Millennium bridge in Newcastle, our 2 small children were there too.»
«The wedding dress I wore on the day was actually the 2nd dress I bought. I fell out of love with the first one. I wanted something plain, I don’t really do dressing up very often. I went with 1 of my bridesmaids to a beautiful shop, with the best owner. I tried on several dresses but 2 were stuck in my mind. I went home and thought it over for a few weeks before I made my final decision. Dorothy, who owns the shop I got the dress from, was incredible & very honest. She made the whole process so amazing. I ended up picking something very different to what I’d initially wanted and absolutely loved it.»
«For our wedding decoration, I knew what colours I wanted (after changing my mind several times). I found ideas online and sent them on to the fantastic Cyprus Wedding Touches and Aliki Flower Shop. I 100% trusted their judgment and I am so pleased I did.»
The staff at Vasilias Nikoklis Inn made the day unforgettable. Every single guest commented on how nice the food was and how attentive the staff were. I would recommend the venue to absolutely everyone!

«I loved every single part of my wedding day but I think Zack (saxophonist) playing Local Hero was up there with one of the more memorable parts of the day. There’s a big Liverpool Newcastle rivalry in my house and family so it was great fun seeing all the reactions. I’d asked Zack ahead of time if he could play in and he didn’t let me down.»
