Today we’re sharing with you a wedding that will fill you with emotions! Tori and David decided to seal their love and get married in Mykonos island, in Greece. Their wedding was minimal and intimate, decorated with a few eucalyptus garlands and candles. The place was so beautiful, so they didn’t feel a need for extra decoration and colors. The bride shared with us: “We met in a very unusual way – we both skydive as a hobby and we met through mutual friends in the sport. The first words David ever said to me were “Hey, are you married?” He had proposed on my 24th birthday, which was the same day as my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary, during my family’s annual trip with my family and closest friends surrounding us.”

“The ceremony took place in Mykonos at Villa Kampani. Neither of us had ever been to Greece before along with almost all of our family and guests that would be attending. We wanted to spend a few days with our family and friends in a beautiful place that allowed for a slow and relaxing few days together. Mykonos was perfect for us.”

“My dress is the Betty gown from Watters WTOO. I liked how beautiful it was and also that it was able to pack into my carry-on suitcase and still leave room for the rest of my clothes for our three-week trip!”

“Choosing a favorite moment of our wedding is so tough! Personally, I loved the reveal moment. I was so thankful that we decided to do a reveal because I probably wouldn’t have been able to remember the ceremony had we not done it because I would have been way too overwhelmed with emotions. David and I were both crying during the reveal and it felt like a big breath of fresh air to be able to be together before the ceremony.”

“Mykonos and Villa Kampani were so beautiful on their own that we didn’t feel a need for a color theme or any of the extra design features that are typically considered in wedding ceremonies. So, our wedding could be described as simple and intimate. We only had about 16 guests at our ceremony including all family.”

“For our decoration we had only a few eucalyptus garlands and candles surrounding us and that’s it! It was beautiful! As for my flower bouquet, to be honest, I don’t remember about the flowers we picked! I gave our wedding planners (Maria and Athena at M&A Mykonos Weddings) a few sample pictures that included warm and robust flowers.”

“I would advise that any bride and groom that care more about the experience rather than the guest count and all of the other fine details should absolutely plan a destination wedding. It made the entire experience way more special and memorable for everyone involved as our wedding was their reason to travel and to experience a new place that they may have never taken the time to see. By traveling for our wedding, everything felt special without having to pay extra to decorate. Also, use a wedding planner especially if planning a destination wedding, ours were fantastic and listened to what we wanted rather than trying to sell us on things we didn’t want.”
