“We were lucky enough to meet through Rickys mum, Mandy. I worked with her and we met on a night out in our home town! Ricky proposed after being together for 3 years. It was Christmas Eve, and as a tradition a single present is always exchanged. I just so happened to pick the present with the ring inside! Ricky had packed the ring into several larger boxes, all individually wrapped until I got to the bottom and saw the ring box”, Emily mentioned to us.
“I was following Love4Weddings and it helped me for decoration inspiration”.
“We knew that we wanted greens, whites and pinks but other than this at first we were somewhat clueless about what we wanted. I began a Pinterest board and added the wedding planner from Mythos Weddings to share inspiration. I found a flower semi-circle and thought this would be a lot more different than a classic arch, which although looks stunning, it’s quite common these days. The wedding planner was happy to oblige and get on the case with our florist. In terms of other decoration, I was happy to be led around by our wedding planner once the centerpiece was created. She came back to me with a presentation on every other detail which I would have picked myself. Everything from the chairs, cutlery and centerpieces were coordinated in a lovely gold. Our favorite part of our wedding decoration was by far the flowers. Worth every single penny”.
“Our favorite moment was our ceremony at St Agrilia Chapel in Sami, overlooking Antisamos beach where our reception was held. The setting was breathtaking, and our guests were blown away”.
“My wedding dress was from Serendipity Brides in Northampton. Originally, they did not stock the dress, but I stumbled across it on Instagram and knew it was the one. Realising the designer was Stella York, a designer which Serendipity sold, the dress was ordered in. Some weeks later, I went to try on the dress with my mother and bridesmaid. It was the one! The dress worked because it was light and sleek. Perfect for the hot weather and travelling”.
“Some advice I would give is to use social media and free tools to your advantage. Join groups on Facebook to ask questions, stalk previous weddings at your venue for inspiration, and save money by using the app Canva to create your own menus, place names, table names etc. All of which will save those precious pennies”.
