Thoughts on Rogue Hostage

Rogue Hostage is an action thriller that will put together a situation where a reluctant hero will need to use his military training to save as many people as possible in a department store. The action side is everything you would expect, giving us nothing groundbreaking or original. Tyrese Gibson struggles to be the action hero with a dark past. He doesn’t hit enough of the emotional beats his character is going through, even if he gets an odd cool action star moment. The villain lacks any conviction and strangely enough. We get John Malkovich in another flat role that doesn’t seem to do much for him once again. This is an easy enough movie to watch, it just isn’t going to be a big and bad as it wants to be.

Final Thoughts Rogue Hostage is a simple action movie without enough stand out moments.
