Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the team behind this summers sleeper hit This Is The End, were apparently offered the chance to script Uncharted… and they passed. The reasoning? It’s too much like Indiana Jones. I think this is a bit of a cop out. As writers, you have the opportunity to envision what you want to envision in terms of story, and for them to say they couldn’t make it because the film would basically be Indiana Jones is silly. Uncharted has been in development hell since David O’Russell and Mark Wahlberg departed the project.
