Rogelio Franco “The One Hand Biker” or should I say one hand with a prosthetic not only did bike around the Philippines recently he also showed us that he can be a fierce competitor on mountain bike rain because he recently raced in Parang, Maguindanao Mountain Bike Race and finished Top 8 on Expert Category where he fight toe to toe on the top spot with pro cyclists.
He is still in Mindanao right now and it was good to know that he was able to join a side event on one of his stop while doing the Philippine Loop. He is truly an extra ordinary man and it was amazing because he get a lot of support nationwide. Who say’s that Mindanao is dangerous place to go to when he traveled all over the country riding his bike. This is an indication that if he can ride a bike from point A to point B then everybody can do it too.
I wish I had all the time in the world and I will follow his footsteps I want to do a Philippine Loop somebody and hope that our Kababayan will join me and help me on every stages of that dream long ride ever. Rogelio is not the only one biker that did the Philippine Loop already, there are few who did this in fact and one of them is a woman, for the privacy of her identity she doesn’t want to be named but I knew her in one of the bike group. Why travel outside the country when you can discover the beauty of our own native land.
