Rockstar has confirmed that the new Grand Theft Auto VI trailer was captured on a regular PlayStation 5. This means players won’t need to upgrade to a PS5 Pro to enjoy the game.

The logo shown at the end of the trailer was clearly the standard PS5 logo, not the Pro version.

The trailer shows impressive graphics, which got some players wondering if current consoles can handle it. But since everything in the video was recorded on a regular PS5, it looks like the game will run well on the system many people already own.

The game is planned to release on May 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. That gives Rockstar another year to improve things even more before launch.

So far, what we have seen has been captured using the game engine, not live gameplay. This means we will need to wait a bit longer to see how the final version looks during actual play. But for now, fans can feel good knowing their current console should be ready for GTA 6.
