True Blood’s Music Supervisor, Gary Calamar will be DJ’ing Wonderland Avenue Elementary School’s annual fundraiser to keep the school playground open to the entire community on Saturdays during the school year.
Bands will keep the playground hopping: Gwendolyn & the Good Time Gang, Egg, Scott Wheatly, Future Dancing, Risers, John Wayne Bro, PanAm. KCRW DJ/Wonderland fun dad Gary Calamar hosts and spins. Plus: food trucks, ice cream and slushie tents, face painting and balloon twisting, and a live raffle, all to raise $$ to keep Wonderland’s playground open on the weekends — and believe me, you don’t want free-range canyon kids menacing these mean streets. (Parking is difficult; be prepared to hike.)
