Rochester police say a grandfather shot and critically wounded his teenage granddaughter after mistaking her for an intruder.There are many ways in which a gun in the home can do more harm than good. This is an extreme example. The simple and obvious fact is that the chance that his gun would some day save the day are smaller than the possibility that it will be misused one day.
