38 months sounds like a really long time. Feels like it too!
What's new?
Not much actually - it's slow season here right now, and man is it SLOOOOOOWWWW. This is the slowest I've ever seen it here. This time of year is great because it finally starts to cool off and those of us who live here get to enjoy all the things on the island that we don't get to do in high season because a) we don't want to deal with tourists on our day off and b) we have no days off in high season and c) let's not even talk about high season prices. However, lots of us are starting to run out of money because everything is dead and there is no work. So that curtails a lot of exciting activities.
I've been trying to get some stuff done online with all my recent free time but have been lacking motivation. That being said, I've got a really clean house and have been cooking amazing food - those are the only perks of me not wanting to do my work! I'm finally doing the things I spend all day pinning.
I'm on a mission to get this site changed over to something more workable for me. Sometimes I don't feel like posting because my site is still through Blogger and anyone who has used it can probably commiserate. Sorry, but Blogger is garbage. It is so much work for me to get a post up, especially with all the bullshit you have to do with getting images into the post - Blogger somehow started this new fun thing last year where it automatically sets the resolution way too low on photos so you have to go back and correct it manually in the HTML on every. single. photo. I have to do the same thing to get the photos the right size. I just feel like I waste so much time and I still can't get things looking exactly the way I want them. So...who knows what about moving my site to Wordpress? Send me a message at [email protected] please! (Or if it's gonna cost a million dollars maybe don't email me until high season.)
Let's get on with the roundup!
1. Gratuitous diving photo:
I managed to somehow sneak in ANOTHER seamount dive this month, this time with Sun Divers. This photo is of me and my favorite dive buddy, Lanita, on our safety stop at the end of the dive. We had a really fun dive and you can see us giggling, which we did a lot of above and below the water that day. Thank you to Martin from Sun Divers for snapping the photo!
2. Posts from this month:
I only got in two, because procrastination.
- A Trip to Tegucigalpa
- Using US Dollars on Roatan (note: this one is REQUIRED READING if you're coming here)
3. Best thing I've found on the internet this month:
Have you heard about this crazy 15-in-1 travel jacket? WANT.

Guys, make sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter ... there's lots of extras posted there that don't make it onto the blog. I also have Google+ if anyone even uses that? And I'm on Bloglovin', so you can follow me there too! Plus it makes me try to post more than once a month. So there's that.
