Story: Roadkill starts when a Hitchhiker (Knudson) from a broken family meets a Driver (Carmichael). The two both have traumatic pasts, which sees them traveling across the country together. However, when they drive through an area where a serial killer has been operating, the journey takes a dramatic turn.

They become hunted down by Sheriff Teagan (Fast), but nothing everything is as clear as it seems. We end up following the characters on the journey, as we look to learn the truth.

Verdict on Roadkill

Roadkill is an action crime thriller following a drifter and driver who team up to travel across the country. However, they end up coming together while a manhunt for a serial killer starts. Although they end up getting caught up in the middle, not everyone knows the truth about each other.

This is a thriller with plenty of twists and turns along the way. It sets out early that not everyone is going to be as clear as they make out, with secrets around every corner. This does keep you guessing but never ends up becoming as intense as you would imagine. It does feel like this could have been a lot bigger, but it also does a good job of making us feel like we stepped into the middle of something bigger going on. In the end, this does create a lot of broken characters who find themselves drifting through the world.
