James Dalton is a bouncer who was hired to clean up one of the worst bars in a small Missouri town, what he didn’t realize was that trying to do this would see the villianious local entrepreneur Brad Wesley to rebel against it.

Road House is a non-stop crazy action filled ride that I certainly was not prepared for at all.
Dalton is extremely good his job and being a bouncer within clubs and bars, despite his “small” size which is mentioned constantly. He knows how to work everything and attempt to get people on side without having a fight, but guess what it often still ends with some fighting. He was about to take on a lot more than he bargained heading to Missouri when the town was in turmoil due to Brad Wesley and his pull with everything in the town.
Throw in a love story, a friend arriving in Wade Garrett to add more drama and then some truly fantastic music from Jeff Healey and somehow it just all works out in the best possible way. The music is totally my scene with the rock based and sure works out very well for many of the scenes. It is very violent as well which I guess should be a slight warning, still holding the 18 rating in the UK.
Patrick Swayze really did have that special charisma on screen which made him truly wonderful to see in any role and quite frankly wasn’t this one more for the boys after Dirty Dancing for the girls?
