Riverdale is running its final lap after having debuted in2 2017. The last and final season of the Archies Comic adaptation started airing on CW from March 29, 2023. There will be 20 episodes in the season and it will wrap up on August 23rd. When will it be available on Netflix in the US?
According to Netflix’s decade old deal with CW, everything that airs on CW arrives on Netflix US. But the shows come on Netflix around 9 days after the airing of the final episode of the season. Going by that tradition, the entirety of Riverdale season 7 should be available to watch on Netflix US on 2nd September.
When it comes to Netflix outside of the US, the setting is different. Internationally, the episodes of Riverdale season 7 have been coming on Netflix the day after their airing on CW. New episodes air on CW on Wednesday nights and they appear on Netflix on Thursday at 8AM. This has been the case for all previous seasons of Riverdale as well. However, there are some countries where Riverdale season 7 will appear much later on Netflix. In Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, South Africa, and Spain, Riverdale season 7 is not likely to come on Netflix until 2024. The series will probably stay on Netflix US up till 2028 while internationally, it will leave Netflix much sooner.
Season 7 of Riverdale has taken a strange twist that has changed the characters quite a bit. A lot of fans might find it a bit challenging to accept and embrace the chemistry between the characters which has somewhat drifted away from what it used to be. While the setting in the 1950s started as fun, some critics think it has started leaning towards ‘boring’
