Plot: A seven-year-old Rita and her five-year-old brother Lolo from a working class family as the whole country goes crazy over the European football championships, with Spain in the quarter-finals.

Story: Rita starts as we meet 7-year-old Rita (Allepuz) the older sister to Lola (Escamilla) and children of Mari (Vega) and Jose (Alamo). They have a secure life, but the parents are having problems. Rita starts trying to take more responsibility around the home and protect Lolo from the issues they face.
Their lives become even more complicated when the national football team does well in the European Championships. However, they must focus more on their everyday situations.

The movie follows the everyday family struggles through the eyes of a 7-year-old. She doesn’t know how to process everything she sees but begins to show maturity beyond her years. It shows the stories from behind closed doors that you might never see and how things can help people get more from life.
Best Parts
The movie has a calming innocent point of view, despite moments of violence. It keeps everything seen through the eyes of the young girl as she adapts to process each moment. This gives us a moving story, that fits the coming-of-age era of movies in a different world. The movie is wonderfully acted and delivers a big message about understanding the world’s changes.
