"Things ain't workin' out for me today!"
Legendary character actor Harry Dean Stanton passed away yesterday. He is one of those amazing actors who made anything he appeared in better, no matter how small his role, from Alien, The Godfather Part II and Repo Man to Pretty in Pink and The Avengers. My favorite role of his was always the hapless gangster Homer Van Meter in John Milius's Dillinger, uttering the ultimate sad sack catchphrase "Things ain't workin' out for me today!" as he bumbled from one scrape to another.
