RINGING IN THE FOURTH
I will never forget my first conversation with Kristin ClarkBethany and I were at a Jack Rogers floral design party during fashion week, when we spotted this tiny little blonde girl standing alone by the cupcakes (because there are always cupcakes at these things). Fueled by our desire to make new friends and a tad too much champagne, B and I approached her and struck up a conversation. I mean we couldn't just leave her standing there all by herself, right? About 2 minutes in Kristin looks at us and goes, "uh actually though, you're in my shot," and pointed across the room. Low and behold there was Christina, camera in hand, laughing hysterically to herself. As it turns out Kristin was not  a loser loner drowning her sorrows in cupcakes, she actually had her s#!+ together and was trying to take advantage of the amazing lighting in the Jack Rogers showroom, and the fact that is was indoors safe from the NEMO storm raging outside, and take outfit pictures. Needless to say we all had a good laugh and have been friends ever since. When I first started SideSmile Style, I thought 'I'll take some pictures, maybe get a free dress or two...no big deal.' Here I am almost three years later, not only  a full time blogger, but have made some of my best friends and even met my boyfriend all through blogging.

Kristin and I shot these photos just a few hours before she got engaged. Unbeknownst to her at the time, this was going to be one of the biggest days of her life...and she had us running around like goobers in matching fourth of july shirts (I do think the pictures turned out super cute...but still to the outside observer we looked DUMB). Thank the Good Lord that I managed to convince her to change before we headed into Charleston...but that's another story :) I still am in awe that I got to be apart of such a special and intimate moment, and I am so glad that we have these pictures to look back on. Congrats again Kristin, love you!
